TRIMEDX Foundation 2024 Recap

At the beginning of our 20th year of service, TRIMEDX Foundation promised that 2024 would be nothing short of transformative in dedication to raising the global standard of healthcare. Now, as the year comes to a close, the Foundation is proud to reflect on our second decade of service and celebrate our 2024 milestones:

  1. Supported 83 volunteers across 16 international, 17 domestic, and 5 virtual medical mission projects, contributing over 3,100 hours of service to global health partners. Our volunteers support as biomedical technicians, facilities management experts, and administrative professionals have directly supported healthcare professionals around the world, and in turn, the patients under their care.
  2. Updated our mission, vision, and values to better reflect our daily work and align with the growing ways our TRIMEDX Foundation volunteers serve our local and global healthcare community.
  3. Welcomed Administrative Coordinator Tina Crafton to the team to serve as our organizational support for volunteers in short-term medical mission trips around the world. We adopted a new volunteer management system, which increased capacity and enabled leadership opportunities for veteran volunteers and mentored a new cohort of TRIMEDX Foundation volunteers.
  4. The TRIMEDX Foundation Board of Directors welcomed two new board members: Art Fisher (TRIMEDX LLC) and Matt Keahey (Medxcel). Chairman of the Board, Tim McGeath, participated in his first international volunteer trip, supporting our volunteers at CURE Zambia in the spring and returning with renewed sense of purpose.
  5. TRIMEDX associates recommitted to the Foundation during our annual Spring Pledge Drive, which yielded a 17% increase in recurring payroll donations and raised the total number of employees who share a recurring gift to 10% of TRIMEDX staff in addition to one-time donations.
  6. Our Volunteer Appreciation Event brought our 2023 volunteers for a two-day celebration in Indianapolis, including a reception, Indianapolis Indians baseball game, and morning of volunteering at the Foundation warehouse.
  7. The 18th Annual Mission on the Greens grossed a record-breaking $190,000 bringing together sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and staff together to support the Foundation’s mission and provide funding for volunteers on short-term medical mission trips.
  8. Established the Close the Gap initiative to foster deeper relationships with suppliers, partner Foundations, donors, and volunteers to amplify our efforts and bridge the disparity of access to functional medical technology and reliable healthcare in the communities we serve worldwide. A portable ultrasound machine donated by Probo Medical through this program reduced the maternal mortality rate by 90% in a Western Sierra Leone community.
  9. Launched our inaugural TRIMEDX Foundation Volunteer Drive, which yielded 10 new volunteer applications. Our 2025 international medical-mission trips calendar has already received an overwhelming number of interested applications supporting various biomedical technician, facilities management, and administrative support roles; and we look forward to opening domestic medical-mission trip opportunities in the new year.
  10. We created a new structure to our Virtual Volunteer program, including a web portal for partners, virtual training programs for healthcare professionals, and plans for remote diagnostics training and volunteer services through our newly acquired NVRT Oculus.

To our current bench of TRIMEDX Foundation volunteers: thank you for operating with ingenuity, integrity, collaboration, and dignity in your service to our partners. Thank you for sharing our vision of raising the standard of healthcare for communities we serve worldwide. We are grateful for your gift of time.

To TRIMEDX managers and leaders: thank you for encouraging associates to challenge themselves, develop new skills, and embrace growth through volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your flexibility and encouragement in supporting associate’s professional development, and in turn, TRIMEDX Foundation. We are grateful for the talent you foster.

To TRIMEDX Foundation donors: thank you for your consistent support in sending our volunteers on short-term medical mission trips in our local communities and our global healthcare community. We are grateful for your generosity and the real-world impact your gifts of treasure have on the communities we serve worldwide.
